Go Out to Dinner This Thanksgiving
Many people complain that eating out on Thanksgiving robs them of the chance to bring home leftovers, but there are plenty of upsides as well. Eating out means there is no prep time at home, and rather than slaving in the kitchen for days, you can simply look forward to a meal out. Best of all? No clean up after the meal.
Make Less for Dinner This Thanksgiving
Most families prepare meals far larger than the number of people at the table can eat. Sure, that might mean some leftovers, but it might also mean that food goes to waste. Instead of having, say, four desserts or three different kinds of vegetables, reduce the number of dishes. You can still prepare a meal your family will enjoy without going overboard.
Have Everyone Bring a Side Dish
If you’ve got a large group company for Thanksgiving, ask people to bring a side dish. Assign out all the smaller dishes you would normally be scrambling to complete before the meal. You can order a prepared turkey dinner, complete with mashed potatoes, vegetables, and other sides, at most grocery stores around the United States. The benefit of ordering dinner this way is that you can still enjoy your family meal at home, but you won’t need to worry about preparing or cleaning up as much after. You also still get leftovers this way.
